That's Classified
Series: Halo
Characters: Jacob Keyes, Catherine Halsey
Verse: Canon (2517)

The gravity was cut in the main part of the shuttle, to save on energy as per the good doctor's orders, and Jacob couldn't help himself when it came to zero gravity. Making sure Toran was keeping an eye on things in case he was needed, he had made his way to one of the unused parts of the shuttle, at least for now, and had let himself just float free, near enough a wall so he wasn't trapped, but not close enough to ruin it. It was about as close to swimming as he was going to get out here, and at least here he had half a chance of not being stared at while sleeping.Tugging his hat down over his eyes, and then fixing how he was oriented with the help of the wall and a bit of momentum, he closed his eyes and let himself doze off, grinning.
Next thing he knew he was falling through the air and hitting the deck with a solid thud, barely getting a word out as it happened. What he did end up doing was swearing up a storm as he untangled himself from the chairs he had landed on, snagging his hat off of one as he stood.
"Toran why's the gravity back on?"
"It was Dr. Halsey's orders."
"Did she say why?" He was half way to putting his hat on and looking for his pipe when the answer came.
"She said it would get your attention."
"My attention, right, right, thank you, Toran." Grumbling he went back to looking for the pipe, which he found and then headed back up to the bridge of the shuttle, still grumbling to himself as when he go there, shooting the doctor a look.
"Glad to see you're awake, Lieutenant, start searching for
pirate transmissions please, we'll be exiting slipspace soon."
Caught off guard he slowly lowered the hand he was getting ready to point at her with and start in on how that was rude, waking someone up by turning the gravity back on, and snapped his mouth shut before going to his station. That confirmed that, now didn't it?
"See me awake, doctor?"
"That's classified, lieutenant."
